Born in Dayton Ohio, David Emonin grew up in a family business. He ventured out on his own by opening a restaurant in Florida in the early 70’s. While he enjoyed running a business, the restaurant business was not the best fit. He worked as a millwright, iron worker, and union carpenter.
In 1981 David started a commercial building business. Despite the difficult economy, he found success building apartments and working on various commercial projects.
His real love was residential construction. He started by building a home to sell. He loved it from the start. Forming a partnership, he bought acreage and developed the ground and started with a sales model. The business grew steadily.
Over the years, Emonin Builders has built new homes Bellbrook, Huber Heights , and other areas close to Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB).
When building, David treats each home like a child from birth to maturity. Unique among homebuilders, he nurtures it thru the entire building process, working closely with homeowners every step of the way. Why is building a custom home with Emonin Builders different? It would have to be the “hands on” approach, the personal attention given by David Emonin to each of his homes. He is on the building site each and every day. In fact, he spends 90% of his time on the building site.
Having built several hundred homes over several decades, Emonin Builders has forged relationships with Dayton-area homebuilding subcontractors that contribute to the consistent quality and craftsmanship of each custom built home.
